Hogar de Niños

Since 1998 there have been 49 children in the homes. Many have come in need of temporary care due to separation of parents, or difficult financial times in their homes; and eventually return to their families when things improve. Some stay longer.

Hogar de Niños has a jungle gym, a soccer court, and a basketball court for the children to play on.
A second floor library/class room provides an area for tutoring, Bible Classes, English courses, parties, and meetings.

Givens

Givens came to our home when he was 6 months old and weighed only 11 pounds. He is a sweet little boy with adorable eyes.                                                                                                                                                               

Cristo Daniel

Cristo arrived at the Hogar de Ninos at only 2 years old and severely malnourished  After just a few days he is a happy little boy with a family that loves him.  he has made fast friend with Adolfo and loves to play with the other children in his home.

Jean Carlos

Jean Carlos is in his first year of high school and enjoys studying math. He loves playing basketball with the community guys and wants to be a general mechanic in a few years. His best friend is Chad Mynatt, one of our summer interns from the past 2 summers.

Yania

Yania is in her first year of high school and she wants to be a Systems Engineer. She enjoys reading the Harry Potter books and swinging in a hammock. Her best friend is Iris and favorite chapter in the Bible is Psalm 23.                          

Adolfo

Adolfo or sometimes referred to as Adolfito (because he is so small), is 5 years old. He enjoys playing outside, watching movies and studying his alphabet. His favorite Bible verse is John 4:4 and his best friend is Joselito.

Wilmide

Wilmide is in the 2nd grade. Likes studying Spanish and is a great math student. Her favorite color is orange and activity is playing ball and with dolls. She enjoys reading Count With Me Mom and playing with her best friend Abigail.

Rosmery

Rosmery is in her first year of high school and is a great student in math and Spanish. She hopes to be a doctor! She has read every Harry Potter book and has a wonderful smile. Her favorite color is pink and favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:13.

Ariel

Ariel is a huge fan of anything Curious George, which sometimes seems to match his personality! His favorite color is red, favorite verse in the Bible is John 4:4 and his best friend is Randy. He enjoys studying in school and watching movies.

Randy

This is Randy's first year in the older classes and his study skills are impressive! He likes piñatas, the color blue, Spiderman movies and books. His favorite color is blue and chapter in the Bible is Psalms 23. His best friend is Ariel.

Fadeline

Fadeline is 8 years old. Her best friend is Allison Reese! Her favorite classes in school are Social studies and Science and her favorite book is about the Disney princesses. She also enjoys studying English.

Licea

Licea is 4 years old and in her second year at the local school. She enjoys writing, playing with dolls and looking at her Bible for Kids book. Her best friend is Yuleisy.                                                                                                     

Wilson

Wilson is a 12 year old and wants to be an engineer after he finishes school. He enjoys watching movies and reading books especially The Wandering Dog. His favorite Bible verse is Matthew 4:2 and his best friend is Cory Lamb.
